Since the media and other sources are taking about a term “Islamic terrorism”, it is important for Muslims who take their religion seriously to humbly explain our religion. Islam is being questioned, and as Muslims we feel obliged to explain what our religion says about this matter.
Firstly, there is no such thing as Islamic terrorism. Yes, there were, are and will be Muslims who will deviate from the right path, misunderstand, and misinterpret noble verses from the holy book and use it to justify their actions of killing, assassination, and murder. The Muslims’ righteous leader and one of the Prophet’s companion, Usman Ibn ‘Affan (May Allaah be pleased with him) was killed by a group of deviant Muslims who called this an act of worship. But of course it was not; rather it was a satanic action.

The prophet sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam told us about ISIS and said, as collected by Bukhaari on the authority of ‘Ali, ‘The hour will not be established until a people come with new teeth and foolish whims if you compare your salaah to theirs…’
The root of evil is [one of] two things; either evil in understanding or evil in intent. So some people have a good understanding but evil intent. Others have energy and gusto but an incorrect understanding.
Who has the greater potential for evil – the one who has an error in their understanding or the one who has an error in their intent? Continue reading
Why is the da’wah of ISIS spreading ?

Shaykh Sālih bin Sa’d as-Suhaymī (hafidhahullāh) on the so-called ‘Islamic State of ’Irāq and Shām’ [ISIS/ISIL] and “Caliph” (?!) Abū Bakr al-Baghdādī.

In a time when Muslim nations are being pounded by hardship and disaster, different groups and sects have started to raise their banner of bringing “Islam’s Lost Glory” back!
They say we need to take revenge of the Muslim blood being spilled. They claim to defend the Muslims and bring justice back for those who are oppressed! Although their appearance is beautiful but their actions are purely away from the Quran. Our scholars of Ahl-as-sunnah have unanimously declared them to be heretic and murderers.
Our youth are asking questions:
a) Are Americans fair target?
b) Can Muslim Americans target Americans due to the country’s unfair policies towards other nations? (i.e. can a Muslim say “we can kill any Americans because the Americans kill us”)
c) How do the criminals justify their murders in the name of Islam?

The recent success of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) seems to have been rapid and stunning. They started small in Iraq as ‘The Islamic State in Iraq (ISI).’ Their parent group is Al-Qa’idah in Iraq, established by Abu Mus’ab Az-Zarqawi who pledged allegiance to Osama Bin Laden. Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the ‘Khalifa’ of Muslims is –strangely enough- Az-Zarqawi’s student! Why is it strange that Al-Baghdadi’s teacher is Az-Zarqawi? This is why: who would take a thug like Az-Zarqawi, who used to drink, hustle, and dance in Zarga, Jordan, as a teacher of Islam and jihad? This is the sad story of today’s jihadis; the type of teachers who teach them Islam and jihad explains the deviant type of Islam and jihad they practice and promote.

All praise be to Allaah alone, may Allaah send praise and peace upon whom there is no Prophet after him, our Prophet Muhammad, upon his family and upon his Companions.
A few years ago a sect was born in Iraq, which titled itself as the ‘Islaamic State of Iraq & Syria’. Its name became well known by four letters they are the first letters of the title of this so-called state, so it is called [in Arabic] ‘Da’ish’ (ISIS).
